Abstract:The rapid advancement of deepfake technology poses increasing risks to biometric security, particularly mobile face authentication. Single-modality detectors relying on spatial or low-level visual cues often show limited robustness under real-world capture conditions. This paper proposes a dual-perspective framework combining frequency domain forensics with behavioural analysis. FFT, DCT, and SRM residuals capture abnormal spectral, noise, and compression artifacts, while blinking, gaze, and head-pose cues characterize physiological and motion inconsistencies that remain difficult for generative models to reproduce. Experimental results demonstrate the benefit of combining these complementary signals. The fused BiGRU-Attention model achieves 84.90% accuracy and 0.9369 AUC on FaceForensics++, and 83.48% accuracy and 0.9186 AUC on Celeb-DF, demonstrating its potential for face-authentication and synthetic media forensics.
